Scarlet Pearl reinvests in property with VIP Lounge
By Lori Beth Susman
D’IBERVILLE — Top-tier players at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort have a new room in which to relax, have a cocktail or two and just enjoy being treated like the VIPs they
are. The VIP Lounge opened in June and is exclusive to the resort’s E.I.P. and Scarlet cardholders in the Pearl Rewards loyalty program also known as the players club.
The lounge, located near the entrance of the casino floor, redefines the high-end customer experience. “Our VIP Lounge continues Scarlet Pearl’s mission to deliver
the best experience, impeccable service and fantastic amenities to our E.I.P and Scarlet players,” said Scarlet Pearl CEO LuAnn Pappas. “We appreciate guests can game anywhere, and the VIP Lounge gives guests yet another reason to visit our fabulous property. We continue to raise the bar to exceed guests’ expectations.”
Decorated in rich emerald greens and golds and open daily, the lounge has three sections, including a one-of- a-kind bar in the center of the room that seems almost gravity defying as it curves into the ceiling. There is also an adjacent dining room in which guests can order light fare or enjoy items from the buffet along with desserts. E.I.P. cardholders can also enjoy the parlor, a salon with plush furnishings inspired by the nostalgia and glamour of private clubs from the early 1900s.
“This is a nice, quiet place where players can get
away and relax, bring their significant other and have
a drink or some food,” said Phong Nguyen, director of VIP experiences at Scarlet Pearl, adding servers and bartenders know guests by name. “Guests love it, and we can show extra love to the top players.”
“We are incredibly proud of the amenities and services our VIP lounge exemplifies, and we do not want it to be a secret,” Pappas added. “Our goal is to let the country know the Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort delivers unparalleled VIP experiences.”
The $4 million VIP Lounge is part of Scarlet Pearl’s $8 million overall project to enhance its VIP customer experience.
Live Poker
Boomtown Casino Biloxi has brought back live poker to the Back Bay property. The new poker room is located on the non-smoking second floor of the casino. There are five tables
spreading a variety of games including Limit Hold’em, No Limit Hold’em and Omaha. The bad beat jackpot amount is at more than $6,000. “We’ve heard from many of our patrons that they’d like for us to bring live poker back, so for us it was an easy decision,” said General Manager Michael Pendergast.
