Beau Rivage hosts 25th anniversary celebration
BILOXI — On March 15, 1999, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino opened its doors
to the public, and to celebrate its 25 years on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, a variety of entertainment, casino promotions, and employee events were held the week leading up to the anniversary weekend of March 15-16.
There was also a drone show with 500 drones taking off from the top of the Beau Rivage parking garage and presenting a dazzling choreographed display in the night sky. Employees served complimentary cake and champagne to guests prior to the March 16 drone event.
As part of the celebration, Beau Rivage honored its 282 Year One employees at
a special reception inside Beau Rivage Theatre. A brass band and stilt walkers led the group in a New Orleans-style second
line parade that traveled through the retail corridor, the atrium and around the gaming floor before ending in the Magnolia Ballroom, where an employee celebration was held.
The employee event featured a special video presentation, a meal, DJ, photo booth, caricature artists, gifts, and an employee-painted mural of the resort and more. Year One employees received a one-of-a-kind commissioned pottery piece from local artist Lisa Fazzio, as well as a commemorative jacket, commemorative book, water bottle and T-shirt.
The celebration continues throughout 2024 with specials at food and beverage outlets, and a pictorial timeline highlighting key events in Beau Rivage’s history and its community impact is located inside The Roasted Bean.
