CNE leaders celebrate Gold Strike acquisition
TUNICA — After officially assuming operations of Gold Strike Casino
Resort in February, Cherokee Nation Entertainment celebrated the acquisition with a formal gold ribbon cutting and employee engagement event on March 24.
Chuck Garrett, president and chief executive officer of Cherokee Nation Businesses, was joined by Mark Fulton, president and chief operating officer
of Cherokee Nation Entertainment, and Max Fisher, Gold Strike general manager, to cut the ribbon.
“We have a lot in common with this property and this market when it comes to the customer and the employee and the strategies that go around both,” said Garrett. “We’re excited to be here and to showcase our experience in exceptional hospitality.”
CNE also marked the occasion by celebrating employees with a One Star One Team engagement event where employees participated in various games for the chance to win prizes ranging from gift cards and electronics to a

Gold Strike is the newest addition to
the CNE portfolio and the first gaming property in Mississippi for the company.
CNE also owns and operates 10 casino properties throughout northeastern Oklahoma, including Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.
