  Volunteer Of The Year
Jackie Libbett, security manager at Bally’s Vicksburg, was awarded the Community Investment Volunteer of the Year Award at the United Way of West Central Mississippi luncheon. Libbett was honored for advocating for homeless families, organizing food drives during the pandemic and sending trucks filled with supplies to disaster-affected communities.
 Choose To Lose
Golden Nugget Biloxi hosted a Choose to Lose Weight Challenge for employees at the start of the year. Participating employees were encouraged to weigh in monthly from Jan. 9 through April 14 and track their BMI from start to finish. Antonio Johnson (pictured), table games dual rate, was the first-place winner of $500. Other winners were Marcus Lawton, player development director, second place; Angela Daughtry, human resources clerk, third place; and Christian Milonsky, surveillance operator, fourth place.
 Showing Their Colors
Hard Rock Biloxi employees don’t shy away from showing their colors — and their support of important causes. Led by General Manager Todd Raziano, the Hard Rockers wore red for National Wear Red Day on the first Friday of February, and on the first Friday in March, they were encouraged to wear
blue for National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Wearing red helped to raise and spread awareness in an effort to eradicate heart disease and strokes in millions of women all over the country. And, wearing blue helped to raise awareness about the causes of colon cancer and how to prevent it.
   Special Recognition
In April, the Gulfport branch of the NAACP acknowledged Beau Rivage with special recognition for the resort’s long- standing support of the organization and its community programming along the Gulf Coast. Gulfport NAACP President Gary Fredericks (center) presented the recognition to Beau Rivage Community Affairs Manager Missy
Dombrowski and Vice President and Legal Counsel Anthony Del Vescovo.
