   Chili For Children
Bally’s Vicksburg sponsored the 12th Annual Chili for Children fundraising event in January. More than $10,000 was raised and donations were given to the Warren County Children’s Shelter and Jacobs Ladder Learning Center. Harrah’s Gulf Coast donates to area humane society
MISSISSIPPI — Ahead of National Pet Adoption Week
in March, Harrah’s Gulf Coast presented the Humane Society of South Mississippi with a $22,317.42 donation. The donated funds were used to support the Humane Society of South Mississippi’s life-saving efforts, adoption services, and their ongoing education and outreach programs throughout the region.

yet — Countdown to Zero. The goal of Countdown to Zero is to eliminate the euthanasia
of all healthy and treatable pets. When HSSM achieves this goal, they will be the first community in the Deep South to achieve the milestone.

Double Donations
Fitz Casino & Hotel made two donations of $6,000 each in April. The donations to the Tunica Humane Society and Sacred Heart Southern Missions were made possible by Fitz players who dropped coin tickets into boxes at the Tunica property. Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast donated $4,093.40 to Safe Harbor Clinic. General Manager Michael Pendergast (left) was on hand with other casino executives to present the donation to Safe Harbor in January. The money was raised through guest donations of their casino ticket-in, ticket-out vouchers.
