SANDERSVILLE — Bok Homa Casino celebrated the grand
opening of its new Red Creek Restaurant as well as the casino’s recent expansion and 13th anniversary on Jan. 10.
The new restaurant offers a variety of enticing dishes, including appetizers, soups and salads, burgers and po’ boys, as well as daily plate specials.
Red Creek Restaurant is not only a place to eat, but also a place to celebrate the Choctaw (Chahta) heritage, which inspired the name of the restaurant. Bok means “creek” and Homa means “red” in the Choctaw language. A creek is illustrated in the casino’s red-and- white logo.
Red Creek Restaurant is part of a recent expansion of Bok Homa Casino, which added 7,000 square feet of gaming and entertainment space, including a state-of-the-art sportsbook and an entertainment stage.
“At Bok Homa Casino, we are always looking for ways to enhance our guests’ experience and satisfaction. We are proud to introduce Red Creek Restaurant, a new dining destination that offers a variety of dishes to suit every taste and preference,” said Sonny Johnson, president and CEO. “We invite you to join us and discover the delicious options that await you.”
Bok Homa features about 700 slot machines and eight table games. It is located in Jones County, about 20 miles northeast
of Laurel, Mississippi, a town made famous by the HGTV show “Home Town.” Bok Homa is one of Pearl River Resort’s three casinos, the others being Silver Star Hotel & Casino and Golden Moon Hotel & Casino, which are both located at Pearl River Resort in Neshoba County.
