Fitz Casino donates to Heartland Hands pantry
TUNICA — Heartland Hands, a non-profit that provides food support to families, working poor, senior citizens, disaster victims, disabled, homeless and the newly unemployed, received a $5,000 donation from Fitz Casino Hotel. Tony Scudiero, VP and GM of Fitz, presented the check.
Horseshoe team pitches in the help
Horseshoe Tunica employees helped out seniors in the community by delivering nutritious lunches in November. They partnered with Sacred Heart Southern Missions to provide turkeys and other traditional holiday fare for Thanksgiving dinners. For Christmas, the seniors received blankets, slippers and bags of fruit, along with a boxes of goodies.
Southland Casino Hotel provides turkeys to charities
WEST MEMPHIS — Southland Casino Hotel, owned and operated by Delaware North, in West Memphis, Arkansas, provided hundreds of turkey certificates to several local charities for those in need for the holiday season. The Arkansas charities receiving the turkey certificate donations from Southland Casino Hotel included Hope House Ministries of West Memphis, Hughes Christian Outreach Ministries of Hughes, Good Neighbor Love Center of West Memphis, 8th Street Mission of Rogers and the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
Kim Gibbs of the Hope House Ministries stated, “This means we’ll be able to serve more people than normal, because we have extra. We will brighten the holiday for those that did not have turkeys right now.” Southland president and general manager, Osi Imomoh said, “Giving to others is what the holidays are about and
