Harrah’s awards Caesars Founders honors
BILOXI — Harrah’s Gulf Coast recently awarded its Caesars Founders Awards, Caesars Entertainment’s top honor. These annual companywide awards
celebrate and recognize team members who create memorable moments for the team and for guests visiting the property.
Winners are awarded in
three categories: All-in On
Service, Blaze the Trail and
Together We Win. Together We Win winners were Doniver Thompson and Michael Mahand, slot performance; All in On Service winners were Rosetta Williams, hospitality, and Linda Blackwell, finance; Blaze the Trail winners were Nick Hackman,
marketing and Jeff Tufo, table games.
Each winner received 50,000 Total Return Credits,
a commemorative award and certificate, an invitation to a celebration dinner, and other prizes.
Additionally, Hackman was named the regional winner

Top honors presented at Horseshoe
  TUNICA — Horseshoe Tunica recently held its annual Caesars Founders Awards event honoring team members in three categories: All-in On Service, Blaze the Trail and Together We Win.
Larry Allen, EVS manager, and Boris Zugic, table games supervisor, were the Blaze the Trail award winners. Receiving the All In On Service award were Sheena Johnson, retail manager,
Boris Sheena Zugic Johnson
and Zuri Jackson, slot service leader. And Allen Blakeley, maintenance engineer, and Sarah Friday, senior training specialist, won in the category of Together We Win.
Caesars Entertainment’s top honor, the Founders Award recognizes outstanding achievements and exceptional contributions of these exemplary team members.

Island View chefs win Smackdown
GULFPORT – It was a fight to the finish as the chefs of Island View Casino Resort competed against one another for the best slider. The Slider Smackdown was a treat for VIP players and a competition amongst the resort chefs.
The Chef’s Choice Award for first place went to Deborah Thomas, room chef, The Diner, with her Asian- and Southern-infused shrimp slider; second place went to Penny Rush, sous chef, The Buffet, for her bourbon chipotle cherry slider; and Karley Goff, sous chef, Prime Cut, took third for her ground chuck and brisket patty.
The guests also got to choose their favorites for The People’s Choice award. Taking home overall first place was Latonya Smith, sous chef, The View at 19 Bar & Grill at Windance Country Club. She named her slider the Beyerstedt burger slider, in the memory of Mike Beyerstedt, the Windance manager who recently passed away. Second place went to Matt Baker, sous chef, C&G Grille, for his Jamaican jerk burger.
