GREETINGS
Welcome to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund
(TMCF). We represent the 57 publicly supported
historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs),
historically Black community colleges (HBCCs) and
predominantly Black institutions (PBIs) and the approximately 300,000 students attending these schools. I believe that each team member contributes directly to TMCF’s growth and success and we hope that you will take pride in being a member of our team. Whether you are a rookie just joining our team or a veteran who’s been at TMCF for a while, I am confident that you will find the work we do both dynamic and rewarding. I consider TMCF team members our most valuable resource.
I have the privilege of leading this team and I will rely upon your consistent commitment and your individual high standards to ensure TMCF’s continuous growth and success. This manual cannot represent a complete set of instructions because no one can predict every circumstance or situation. However, with this manual as a backdrop, I will rely upon your judgment, discipline and morale to positively influence TMCF’s sustainability.
There are several important things to keep in mind about this manual. It contains only general information and guidelines that were developed to describe some of the expectations of
our team members and provide a brief outline of policies and benefits generally available to eligible team members.
This manual supersedes all previous TMCF team member handbooks or manuals. To the extent the requirements of any applicable laws in a particular jurisdiction where any team member works differ, if at all, from the provision of this manual, TMCF will comply with such laws.
We hope your experience here will be challenging, enjoyable and rewarding. Again, welcome to the new team members and keep up the good work to the veterans!
Sincerely,
Dr. Harry L. Williams President & CEO
