SOAR
The TMCF SOAR (Seeking, Observing, and Achieving Results) Program uses a multi- year approach to prepare students for life beyond K-12 educational experiences
by championing students
to explore and determine a
pathway after high school;
engaging students in academic,
professional and leadership development to aid in a successful transition to college and/or the workforce; and providing continued support through all things TMCF. In the first year, students participate in a week-long residential boot camp and virtual webinars to develop their knowledge and skills regarding academic and career pathways.
THE PITCH
HBCU Scholars Win More Than $50K In Scholarship At TMCF’s The Pitch Competition 2024 In Atlanta
The sixth-annual Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) The Pitch awarded the top two winning teams with more than $55,000 in scholarships in front of a packed house at the Coca-Cola headquarters in Atlanta to further provide access and opportunity to historically Black college and university (HBCU) scholars from across the country.
This year’s event featured nearly 200 students in a five-day
program that involved generating business ideas and models,
creating prompt engineering and honing presentation skills. The
competition aimed to test the abilities of student innovators and
budding entrepreneurs in creating solutions for corporate, societal
or educational concerns. Teams competed in three elimination rounds before panels of industry experts and representatives from the entertainment industry, venture capitalists and angel communities.
