Dr. Brittany L. Davis, D.D.S.
For Dr. Brittany L. Davis, dentistry is about much more than creating beautiful smiles. It is about building trust, forming lasting relationships, and helping patients feel confident in themselves. As an associate dentist at Divine Dentistry, Davis combines clinical care with compassion, serving patients at the practice’s Gulfport and D’Iberville locations.
Inspired by her aunt and mentor, Dr. Andrea Davis, Brittany Davis pursued dentistry with a desire to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. While she once considered a career in accounting because of her love for numbers, she ultimately realized dentistry offered something more personal. “I wanted the opportunity to interact with people and not sit in front of a computer screen all day,” she said.
Now four years into her career, Davis says one of the most rewarding aspects of her profession is helping patients achieve their dream smiles while developing genuine connections with them along the way. She believes dentistry plays an important role not only in oral health, but in overall well-being and self-confidence.
At the same time, she recognizes that the emotional side of patient care can be one of the profession’s greatest challenges. Many patients arrive with anxiety, fear, financial stress, or difficult past experiences, making reassurance and compassion just as important as technical skill.
Davis also sees social media continuing to shape the future of dentistry over the next decade. While online trends and cosmetic procedures may not always reflect realistic outcomes for every patient, she believes increased visibility is encouraging more people to seek dental care and learn about oral health.
Her advice to readers is simple but important: don’t wait until something hurts to prioritize your dental health. “Oral health is connected to your overall health,” she said. “Stay on top of your dental visits just like you would any other doctor’s visit.”
Outside the office, Davis enjoys reading, traveling, shopping, going to the gym, and spending time with family and friends. One thing she admits with a laugh? She is “definitely not a morning person,” though knowing patients are counting on her gets her moving each day.
