• Asiatic lilies: Easy to grow and maintain; they prefer well-drained sandy and fertile soil with lots of sunshine available.
• Lily of the Nile: A stunning addition to landscapes.
• Crinum lilies: A Southern classic choice.
• Daylilies: These plants are tolerant of a variety of soil conditions and can grow in
raised beds or containers. They grow quickly and can form a dense mat of roots, so be sure to divide them every three to four years.
• Spring spider lily: This native lily has large, fragrant, white flowers with a yellow center.
• Lycoris: Also known as spider lilies, these flowers have a spidery look and come in red, yellow, and white varieties. The red Lycoris Radiata is a popular choice in Mississippi.
• Lily of the Valley: Needs more water when establishing, but after that the soil should remain moist.
