Founded in October, 2014, Devoted Heart Home Care began out of a deep passion for helping others, particularly the elderly and individuals needing assistance with daily activities.
“I was inspired by my personal experiences and saw the need for compassionate, high-quality care that would allow individuals to remain in the comfort of their homes while receiving the support they need,” Neptune says. “This drove me to create a service that would treat clients like family, ensuring they receive the care, dignity, and respect they deserve.”
Their mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality care that allows individuals to maintain their independence and dignity while living comfortably in their own homes. “We
are committed to supporting the well- being of our clients with personalized care plans, fostering a safe and nurturing environment and treating each individual with the respect and compassion they deserve, just like family,” she added.
Devoted Heart Home Care currently has 30 dedicated employees, including caregivers and administrative staff, all committed to delivering exceptional care and support to clients. “We are constantly hiring dependable staff to ensure we continue to meet the growing needs of our community,” Neptune said.
The team includes a wide range of skill levels from highly trained and certified
caregivers to experienced administrative staff. These caregivers are skilled in providing personal care, companionship, medication management, and specialized support for individuals with chronic conditions.
“We ensure that all our staff members undergo thorough training and continuous professional development to provide the highest standard of care,” Neptune says.”
A wide range of services are provided to meet the individual needs of clients, including: Personal Care Assistance – help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene. Companionship – providing social interaction, emotional support, and engagement in activities. Medication Management – assistance with medication reminders and organization. Meal Preparation – preparing healthy and nutritious meals according to
dietary needs. Light Housekeeping – cleaning, laundry, and other household tasks to maintain a safe environment. Transportation Assistance – helping clients get to medical appointments, run errands, or attend social events. Chronic Condition Care – specialized care for individuals with conditions such as diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and heart disease.
The most requested services at Devoted Heart Home Care are personal care assistance, such as help with bathing, dressing, and grooming. “Many clients also request medication management,
meal preparation, and companionship services,” Neptune said. “Additionally, we frequently provide support for individuals with chronic conditions or those recovering from surgery, ensuring they receive the care needed to remain safely in their homes.”
The age range of clients varies widely, typically from young adults as young as 18 to seniors requiring services. However, the primary focus is on elderly clients, often ranging from 65 to over 100 years of age.
“We individualize our services to meet the specific needs of each age group, ensuring that everyone receives the appropriate care and support they need,” Neptune said.
Many of the services at Devoted Heart Home Care are covered by insurance
and the Medicaid Waiver Program. “We accept various private insurance plans, and we also work with the Medicaid Waiver Program to provide in-home care for eligible clients,” Neptune said. “We encourage potential clients to reach out to us for more information about coverage options and to discuss their specific
needs so we can help them navigate the insurance process.”
