Michele H. Hughes, M.D., FAAD, is the director of Premier Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center. Dr. Hughes is a double board-certified Dermatologist and MOHS Skin Cancer Surgeon. A Baton Rouge native, she earned a B.S. in microbiology on a softball scholarship at Mississippi University for Women, graduating magna cum laude. She received her M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed internship and dermatology residency at UTHSCSA and Texas
Tech Health Sciences Center, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Hughes is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, and is affiliated with the American Society for Mohs Surgery. She lives locally with her husband and two children, serves as a life member of the Junior Auxiliary Biloxi-Ocean Springs chapter, and coaches travel softball.
Premier Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center, located in Ocean Springs, is a full service Dermatology Clinic. Since opening the practice in November of 2013, Dr. Michele Hughes has been offering a full range of dermatology services to residents along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The team at Premier Dermatology fill their
days with patients of all ages and a variety of skin conditions including psoriasis, acne, allergic contact reactions, molluscum, routine mole checks and skin cancer screenings and treatment. They also offer laser treatments including laser hair removal, skin resurfacing, and treatments for rosacea and sun damaged skin, as well as dermal fillers and toxins.
