Ever since Kristen Garriga became involved with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, she knew she wanted to make a difference. “I knew that whatever role I ended up in, I wanted to make sure we were in the business to make a difference in out hometown communities,” she recalls.
Now the Executive Director of the Gulfport Main Street Association, Garriga
is doing just that. “What I love most about my job is witnessing the development of both our organization and Downtown Gulfport as a whole,” she says. “We have the opportunity to welcome new businesses, restore historic properties, and host amazing events that attract hundreds into our downtown all while promoting the mom and pop businesses that make our area so special.”
Garriga is married to her husband, Brent, and together they have three kids: Lexi, Mason, and Emerson. Their family is constantly on the go and loves all the activities that living on the Coast has to offer, especially fishing.
