DejaVu Formal Boutique is known for bringing a fresh, new take on formalwear to the Gulf Coast. “I want to offer a unique style of dress, focusing on expressing your individuality and going beyond simply following trends,” says Owner Lindell Asher.
Perhaps the best example of this is Asher’s own private label line, Lindell’s Exclusive Collection. She is excited to offer stunning and original gowns through her collaboration with Turkish Designer Muhmmet Salka, who prides himself on being an innovator in the world of luxury evening dresses.
In addition to this launch, DejaVu recently made a storefront expansion – the third
in the company’s 11 and a half years in business. “I needed a larger location to accommodate the business’s rapid growth, and the addition of dress and tuxedo rentals,” explains Asher.
She loves helping women to feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. “When
a woman walks in my store nervous to
try on gowns and walks out smiling with confidence because she feels beautiful, it’s a win for me,” Asher says.
To young women interested in getting
into business, Asher offers this advice: “Stay motivated, true to yourself, and believe in your ability to achieve your goals. With hard work and dedication, I have seen the store grow over the years into something I never would’ve dreamed I would love so much.”
