Dorothy Roberts, owner of Robin’s Nest in the Pass, has always enjoyed making things and jewelry designs. It was this passion that led her to open a gift shop.
“I wanted to help support other local artists and thought having my own store would allow me to accomplish this,” she explains.
Now, that passion project has been open for nine years and recently began hosting artist events to showcase the store’s consigned artists.
While there are many parts that Roberts loves about her job, it’s helping others that truly brings her joy. “I love having a store that provides a welcoming environment, a setting that evokes the creative spirit in our customers and helps them to find that perfect gift for themselves or others,” she says.
Roberts is a proud mother to two adult daughters and is a grandmother to three grandchildren and considers her family her greatest success.
