 Angela Thrash
Harrison County Chancery Clerk
Angela Thrash’s journey in the Chancery Clerk’s office began 31 years ago in 1993. Over the years, she has had the privilege of holding numerous positions within this office, each one contributing to her growth and understanding of the responsibilities that come with serving the citizens of Harrison County.
“I started in bookkeeping, where I gained a solid foundation in managing the financial aspects
of the office,” she recounts. “From there, I advanced to the role of supervisor in land records, where I developed a keen eye for
detail and an appreciation for the importance of accurate record-keeping. My experience expanded further when I became an administrative assistant in 2006, a role that deepened my organizational skills and allowed me to contribute more directly to the office’s operations. In 2016, I was honored to be appointed chief deputy, a position that gave me the opportunity to lead and manage the office’s day-to-day activities.”
Now, Thrash has been entrusted with the role of Chancery Clerk, a responsibility she does not take lightly. “I am truly blessed to have run unopposed, and I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to serve the citizens of Harrison County for the next four years,” she says.
Being the first female Chancery Clerk in Harrison County is a milestone that she is incredibly proud of.
