God does not always reveal his vision right away, but following a career-ending injury, Cheryl Black is sure glad she listened when she understood He had other plans for her life.
“I felt God push me into the direction of teaching ballet,” Black said. “It was something that I never quite planned to do, but God had other plans for my life.”
And now, Black, the instructors, and the students are celebrating the Ballet Theatre School’s 42nd anniversary this year. “As a teacher of so many young women and men, it’s necessary in today’s world to be able to provide an environment where young people feel accepted, valued, and loved,” Black said. “Our faculty feels honored to teach dance and pour into these young lives with the love of God.”
