all love home building, real estate, customer service and dealing with agents and homeowners. What I like best about what I do is working with strong, incredible women like Darlene Cruthirds and Rilene LaPre’. Together they handle the office, contracts, closings, billing, permits, the phones and warranty department. And they make it look easy!”
She considers her greatest successes in business, that she’s surrounded herself with smart, successful people who have the same goals and absolutely love what they do. “Darlene and Rilene are such assets but more than that, they are genuinely great people to know. They are both talented, funny and such a pleasure to work with. I love coming to work everyday.”
Richardson says an obstacle she had to overcome is not letting anything stop her from reaching her goals. “We are learning something new every day and keeping things fun and interesting. Our homeowners are so important to us and are the reason we are all here.”
Her advice to young entrepreneurs is to have a great work ethic. “That will take you far in your career. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, it’s how we learn to be better.”
Adams Homes has been building on the Gulf Coast for over 32 years and is a family business that recognizes that a company is only as good as its people. Richardson has been with the company more than 14 years and loves it.
Moving to the Gulf Coast made a big impact in her career. “Working with a wonderful staff, homeowners and a great network of vendors and subcontractors, keeps me smiling and growing,” Richardson says.
