Sandra Richardson of Adams Homes says her pull towards customer service and new construction inspired her career in home building. “I think as far as enthusiasm and energy goes, we feed off each other because we all love it so much,” she says of herself and the other women of Adams Homes, one of the largest privately owned builders in the Southeast. They have been building homes for more than 31 years.
We all enjoy working alongside knowledgeable, professional women who love what they do. “Our whole team, including the guys, feel the same way,” she adds.
If Richardson was giving advice to young female entrepreneurs, it would be, “If you dream that you can do it, you can. Don’t ever stop or give up.”
She feels it’s inspirational to work with other strong, successful women, especially in a normally male dominated field. “We work for a company whose founder,
Wayne Adams, knew that chemistry in an office is crucial to success. Having a team that works together for the same goal in making our homebuyers happy is priceless and rewarding.”
Richardson lists the company’s greatest successes; “Regardless of price, size or location, all buyers want their builder to deliver value,” she said. “We do that with a great crew and awesome trade partners. At the end of the buying experience, we want happy homeowners. It’s an honor to help families with what may be the largest purchase of their lives.”
When not working, the group likes boating, fishing, festivals, seafood and spending time with our families.
