Who or what inspired you to pursue your current career?
I have always wanted to own a small business. The concept of opening Alpha-Lit Marquee Letters came during the COVID pandemic in 2020. Alpha-Lit Mississippi Gulf Coast is currently celebrating two years of success as a small business on the Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast. My husband, Derrel T. Wilson, had a huge influence on inspiring me to open Alpha-Lit Letters. After we saw the success of Alpha-Lit Dallas and Alpha-Lit Nashville, we knew immediately that the Gulf Coast needed lit marquee letters for their celebrations.
What I like best about what I do is:
I enjoy meeting new people, communicating with clients from start to finish, and traveling to all the unique locations. I love working with the Gulf Coast community and helping our clients celebrate their special events.
Advice I would give to young female entrepreneurs:
“You have to believe in yourself before anyone else will.”

Our parenting classes and resources continue for two years after the baby is born, which helps to ensure a healthy beginning.
