“My name is Erin Glisson, owner and stylist at Brushes Salon in Gulfport. Brushes has been a dream goal
of mine since I was a little girl. I moved to the Coast around 2008 and began building. Since then, I have worked to develop my personal style and techniques and to build a solid clientele base, many of which are still with me today. Every step along the way helped
to create a vision for what the salon is now. I wanted
a place where people could relax and be themselves. The aesthetics and the vibes are crucial to making our clients feel comfortable and allowing the stylists to create beautiful hair and nails.
The stylists and nail technicians have really been the biggest blessing of all. Each of them have just sort of found their way into Brushes and have brought so much to the table in making the salon what it is, not only
with their talents but also their beautiful personalities. Together we have created a community that supports each other personally and professionally. Even through a pandemic, we are heading into celebrating our third year of business, beauty, and growth. Because of the level of support, love, and talent, every member of our team has grown in their work and business.
It truly is surreal at times to actually see my dreams take physical shape and every one of our girls is another piece of the puzzle that fits perfectly. It’s the most rewarding thing in the world to be surrounded by such caring, creative people and see them grow by sharing their gifts with others. So much has happened in the last few years, but Brushes continues grow and be a vessel for growth and beauty in others. We aren’t slowing down yet, either. We have more coming to Brushes soon – hair, nails, and skincare!”
