Who or what inspired you to pursue your current career? I come from a family of female entrepreneurs.
My great-aunt was the rst woman in Mississippi to receive her commercial pilot’s license, and my family opened a store in Central Mississippi in 1899 that the women
of my family have been instrumental in running.
Advice I would give
to young female entrepreneurs: Take advantage of every avenue! There are grant programs, free seminars and advisors as well as business models out there created speci cally for women in business.

My greatest successes have been: Opening my store in
2016, going live with our website right before the pandemic, and especially moving/expanding during this crazy time. At our new location on Washington Ave., I’ve been able to watch the store blossom to its fullest potential.

You have to move outside of your comfort zone. Resumes that include failures are great proof that you have taken the necessary risks in your journey. Often, women are more a ected by failure and let it a ect their con dence. Don’t let it. Failure is an inevitable part of success from which we learn.
