Who or what inspired you to pursue your current career? Being the Executive Director of Lighthouse is a dream come true for me. Being able to provide assisted living and memory care in my hometown has been a lifelong dream. I have been blessed with an amazing directorship team that happens to
be all women. We are a team dedicated and committed to providing the very best assisted living and memory care in Mississippi. We are driven to provide care that is second to none.
What I like best about what I do is: By working with our directorship team, a group of women that are all doing what we feel passionate about, taking care of senior adults,
we are able to care for our residents sincerely from our hearts.
Advice I would give to young female entrepreneurs: Be sincere...Be genuine and follow your passion; you will excel and succeed all while enjoying the journey.
My greatest successes have been: Under my leadership, our all-female directorship team successfully opened and operate Lighthouse and are currently doubling the resident capacity with the opening of our six state- of- the- art Memory Care Cottages.
It’s important to support other woman-
owned businesses because: Women should truly support one another and lift each other up in the good times but, especially in di cult times.
What’s something interesting about you that not many people know? Since the pandemic and the lockdown in long term care our all-female directorship team has physically moved in all our residents to prevent movers from coming into our building.
What are your favorite things to do on the Coast? Favorite restaurant, etc. We enjoy being outside, at the beaches, shing, and spending time outside with our residents.

Who or what inspired you to pursue your current career? I have always loved fashion and design, and was fortunate enough to work with and manage many of the businesses in downtown Ocean Springs over the course of 29 years. I would say that each and every person who gave me the opportunity to work with them, along with my very creative and talented parents, have inspired me to become the business owner I am today.
What I like best about what I do is: I love retail and enjoy all the customers who visit the store and have fun trying on beautiful shoes! The best part is when they ask, “May I wear them out of the store?” That always makes me smile!
My greatest successes have been: My two very intelligent and talented children, along with striving to live my best life, even with the impact of COVID-19 a ecting my business. It has made me even stronger and more determined to get through the toughest of times.
