KELLY PENDERGRASS HUNTER
Who or what inspired you to pursue your current career? I was raised by very strong parents who taught me to do something in life that makes a di erence. They instilled in me the importance of doing something you love and that makes the world a better place, even if it was just a small corner of the world.
What I like best about what I do: What I enjoy the most is making an impact on someone’s life. People who need my services are generally going through the most stressful and traumatic time of their lives. It’s important to me for them to know that someone is standing beside them.
My greatest successes have been: My greatest successes are named River and Baylor. Daily they are my motivation to be better as a person and an attorney.
It’s important to support other woman-owned businesses because: We represent an under-represented segment of the community. In all aspects of life, women must support one another, whether personally or in business, otherwise we will never earn the respect we deserve.

What I like best about what I do: Working with one of my best friends in the world and knowing that we are making a di erence for children on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
My greatest successes have been: My children – they de ne me. My career in law is just a bonus!
What’s something interesting about you that not many people know? I was the lead singer in a band in a former life.
What are your favorite things to do on the Coast? Favorite restaurant, etc. Drive highway 90 and just take it all in. I grew up here, left and traveled the world, and I promise as Dorothy said, “there is no place like home!”
What moment from your life made the biggest impact on your career? I would have to say watching my mother for the rst time in a trial. She mesmerized me and everyone watching her! She knew the magical quality she had in a courtroom and so she commanded the room! She was a force of nature.
