Pine Belt Dermatology recently expanded to the Coast by opening an o ce in Biloxi.

With a full sta of professionals and support, the new location o ers a wide range of services. The most requested is cosmetic dermatology, especially injectables. “We carry multiple brands of neurotoxins and dermal llers, including Botox, NEWTOX, Dysport, Juvederm, Restylane, and our newest addition, Versa,” Nurse Practitioner Marisa McGeorge said.
McGeorge also says there is a rise
in skin cancer in recent years. “The reason is multifactorial including previous tanning bed trends in the ‘80s and ‘90s,” she added. “Skin cancer awareness has also increased leading to more detection of skin cancers.”
Although excessive sweat treatment and treatment for diseases of the hair and nails may not get a lot of attention, McGeorge says these are very common conditions. “However, many patients are not aware that there are treatments that can help their sweating and hair loss.”
The clinic is carefully handling visits and treatments during the current pandemic. “Patient and sta safety is our number one priority,”
McGeorge said. “Patients are required to answer questionnaires regarding recent exposure and temperature is checked prior to being seen. We clean surfaces frequently throughout the day and anyone entering our building is required to wear a mask, including our sta .”
Dr. Keoni Nguyen, D.O. and McGeorge, along with O ce Manager Tampler Ingram and six additional sta members are caring for patients in the Biloxi o ce.
Pine Belt Dermatology’s Coast expansion was fueled by the success of its Petal, Hattiesburg and Ellisville locations. “Because of that great success, we felt the Coast would be the next great place to be, and with the addition of Dr. Nguyen, who by the way loves the water, and myself, who already had a patient following, we knew the Biloxi o ce would be
a success,” McGeorge said. “Word of mouth and advertising are key to our success on the Coast, but most importantly, patient experience will be what sets us apart from other dermatology practices.”
