JOAN’S HAIR STUDIO
7544 Red Creek Rd., Long Beach, MS 228.222.4245
What sets us apart from others in this eld is:
We are certi ed wig tters and have been licensed hairstylists for over 40 years. We have trained in Texas, Chicago, NYC, Spain and London. We are not a walk-in service that sells “one size ts all wigs.” We custom order your wig size, style and color. We work by appointment only.
What we like best about what we do is:
We love helping women regain their self-esteem and ll the desire to have beautiful hair in just minutes.
Advice we would give to young female entrepreneurs:
Set your goals and move forward to meet them. Always know that you are who you make yourself – believe in YOU! We both owned our own salons by the time we were 21 years old.
Our greatest successes have been:
JoAn: I am the proud owner of JoAn’s Hair Studio for the past 25
years. I previously owned another salon for 13 years in downtown Long Beach. I am also the founder of Pink Heart Funds, which helps children and women with cancer receive free wigs with cancer and free breast prosthesis for women with breast cancer. I am the author of two books: Appetite for Living and Shortcuts. Both sold out and the money was donated to Pink Heart Funds.
Kay: I was a salon owner for 40 years in Spain and London. I am now enjoying working with JoAn, customizing wigs, hair pieces and hair toppers for women on the Gulf Coast. I love the one-on-one attention I can give at JoAn’s Hair Studio.
It’s important to support other woman-owned businesses because:
We feel it is vital to support our local women in business in order to succeed. Without the support of other women, JoAn’s Hair Studio would not be.
