Coastal Mississippi is charged with promoting South Mississippi as a tourism and convention destination worldwide. Its mission centers on attracting ever-increasing numbers of leisure, convention, sports and business visitors to the area, and the organization is dedicated to maximizing the travel and tourism industry for South Mississippi.
Formerly Visit Mississippi Gulf Coast, the organization launched its new brand on March 11, 2019, to truly re ect Coastal Mississippi, its communities, and
its array of outstanding assets, playing a crucial role in laying the foundation for the future success of the tourism industry in the tri-county region.
The dynamic team has seen recent successes such as 13.5 million visitors to the region, and a direct spend by visitors of $2.12 billion in 2018, according to Visit Mississippi. The region has received a tremendous amount of media coverage by major media outlets such as USA Today, Forbes, Thrillist, Travel + Leisure and more.
