The home of Stacy and Danny Sabbatini is the pinnacle of coastal living: light, open and laid back. The two began building their dream home on the beach front property in Ocean Springs last year, moving into the home in February of this year.
While the property’s proximity to Danny’s father’s home was a big selling point for the location, the view is the real clincher. From the back windows and porch of the home, there’s an unobstructed view of the Gulf and you can even see straight out to Horn Island.
Because of the location, the home is built at a 14-foot elevation to prevent flooding. While the steps may seem daunting, the Sabbatinis had the foresight to include a lift to help with ease of access (especially when it comes to bringing groceries home).
The exterior of the home gives a true glimpse of what you’ll see inside, namely clean grays and whites with a hint of beachy elegance. Once inside, the tall
ceilings and wide openings lend themselves to an open and welcoming atmosphere.
Speaking of tall ceilings, each of the three showers in the home extends vertically from floor to ceiling. Stacy even had to have a special shower curtain made to fit the space. The height really adds an extra wow factor to each room.
The open kitchen and living space is the heart of this home, and for good reason. The large kitchen island is perfect for entertaining and opens up into the living room. The back walls of the house feature glass accordion-style doors, which open up onto an enormous screen porch.
Beautiful coastal décor throughout the Sabbatini home creates a beachy elegance.
