When I was in the 9th grade I decided I wanted to become a hairstylist, and in 1993 that aspiration became a reality. Since becoming a hairstylist, I’ve made many friendships and worked with some great stylists from whom I’ve gained much knowledge over the years. Now, 25 years later, I’m still behind the chair doing what I love and making people feel good about themselves.
In 2017, through much prayer and support from God, family, coworkers and clients, I decided to open a salon known as K.Ferguson Salon. I am truly blessed to work side by side with these wonderful, sweet, funny and talented women — Marla Williams, Sandra Chapman, Maegan Walley and Stephanie McWilliams. We offer a variety of services, including balayage; color; highlighting; haircuts for men, women and children; perms; straighteners; special occasion styles; waxing; manicures; pedicures; and make up.

My greatest business strengths are:
Friendliness and approachability. We have a great staff at Island Winds that is here to help clients through the entire real estate closing process.
In five years I would like to see my business: Flourishing! We want to be doing as many real estate closings as possible.
The best advice I’ve ever received:
Be nice to people, they remember it.
I chose this particular business because: I love dealing with land and property.
My inspiration comes from: The attorneys that taught me everything I know, Michael Fondren and Patricia Wallace, and my parents, Terry and Peggy Boyer.
