Words of Wisdom to Other Women: Remember the original objectives you had when you began your business and never let well-meaning advice from others question your goals.
Tools of the Trade: Keeping an eye on trends in my industry and continuing education — you’ll never know it all; there’s always more to learn.
A Sample of My Projects: American Heart Association’s Art for Heart; Taste of Ocean Springs; Walter Anderson Museum of Art fundraisers; Ohr-O’Keefe Museum fundraisers.

Our Slogan: “Coffee, Love and Que”
Tell Us About Your Journey That
Led You To Your Current Position? Having been a successful Multi-Media Specialist, Marketing Manager, Journalist, Advertising Director
along with owning a part-time barbecue business, I wanted to take the knowledge and skills acquired over many years and open my own business. Loving a variety of coffees and stimulating conversation, I had
an epiphany one day to combine barbecue and my love of people and coffee under one roof and blend it into one business. Thus, Friends Barbecue/ LaChelles Coffee was born.
What Do You Like Best ABout What You Do? Having the opportunity to
meet and have stimulating conversation with a diverse group of people from around the Gulf Coast region. Serving delicious barbecue and creating
warm, frothy or iced coffees, tea and smoothies makes me smile daily.
One Lesson I Learned Along The Way: “To whom much is given, much is required.” There is a great deal
of personal sacrifice that goes into owning your own business. I have learned a great deal about what really makes a successful business achieve longevity.
What Sets You Apart From Others In The Same Field? All food is homemade fresh daily; no processed meats or sides, everything including the desserts are made from scratch.
