As part of the City’s State of the City address, Mayor Quave proudly states, “The state of our City is strong. It is vibrant. It is exciting. D’Iberville, we’re on the move!”
The City currently has secured over $44 million dollars in federal and state funds to help expand opportunities within its commercial areas with major roadway improvements and plans for an improved waterfront and other infrastructure needs to support the day-to-day activities of a thriving city.
City Manager Bobby Weaver says, “Quality of place, quality of life, and quality of visit are the things that make D’Iberville special, and every day the Mayor, City Council, and 151 city employees are committed to maintaining and enhancing these values.”
As a regional shopping destination nestled along the 1-10/1-110 Corridors, many businesses, including Burlington, Gulf Coast Mitsubishi, Navigator Credit Union, Firestone Complete Auto Care, Claires, and many other small businesses have chosen D’Iberville. They contribute to our bustling economy and record sales tax collections each year and we are proud to have each one of them in our city!
A major roadway project in support of Mallett Road and Sangani Boulevard is the intersection improvement and widening project that is currently in the right of way acquisition phase. It is our anticipation the project will be bid in summer of 2025. The intent of this project is to improve the overall capacity of roadway to minimize the
