impressed with the beauty and walkability of downtown Biloxi, that she decided to open a second location to her Gulfport shop. The Radish Loft II offers Biloxi some of the same lines that are carried in Gulfport, just on a smaller scale.
“I’ve always loved the downtown feel and the historic buildings in Biloxi and to be able to have a business in such an area really caught my attention,” said Butterfield. “I wanted to be a part of the rebuilding and growth of downtown Biloxi.”

The business also enjoys a working relationship with other downtown businesses and the chamber. “We work closely with Biloxi Main Street and Biloxi Bay Chamber on upcoming events,” she said. “We do ‘First Friday’ which is a free event open to the public the first Friday of each month from 5-8 p.m.”

Hanna Mayfield feel their prime location on Washington Avenue has attracted visitors and is a mainstay for locals.
“When similar businesses
are centrally located, it drives more traffic for everyone,” said Mayfield. “It’s a special place where people can park and walk up and down our streets. They can have lunch, shop, and have drinks and dinner.”
Mayfield believes the city and chamber-sponsored special events and festivals add a boost to business. “It’s great to see that our downtown has a special purpose,” she said. “We wouldn’t want to be located anywhere else.”
