A s the Chief Economic Developer for the City of Moss
Point, Mayor Mario King is driving outcome-based leadership
across all city sectors to rejuvenate and spur the momentum of Moss Point’s economic and social prosperity. The city is experiencing an increase in new and better jobs and improved city services giving its residents a better quality of life.
He has recruited seven new car dealerships that will make Moss Point
the premier location to purchase vehicles. The up-and-coming city o ers  a family-friendly environment with a distinctive mix of business and residential neighborhoods, waterfront and natural amenities, diversity of employment options, and an evolving culture of food, music, art, sports, and recreation.
From a business standpoint, Moss Point is in an open market position, located
strategically between Mobile, Alabama and D’Iberville, Mississippi.
“Moss Point businesses and residents alike bene t from the active  participation and collaborations with local organizations.,” Mayor King said. “Our partnership with the Chamber has been meaningful through their advocacy, engaged committees and outreach, including the Quarterly Co ee with the  Mayor program sponsored by the Moss Point Area Council,” says Mayor King.
The Chamber provides the structure for business and community leadership to connect, and the platform for
those leaders to speak on issues and opportunities that will bring about a stronger economy and better community. More than 75 Moss Point businesses are members of the Chamber and bene t  from education, training, and networking events.
The city has availability for low-cost property acquisitions and unmet needs
to motivate new business development including automotive dealerships, grocery and specialty food stores, homebuilding products, healthcare services, retail, outdoor recreation, and nature-based tourism.
