he city of Ocean Springs is always bustling with activity. From its community calendar stacked with
fun and family-friendly events to continued development and beauti cation e orts, it’s fair to wonder when the city ever sleeps.
Recent openings include Franko’s Clothing Co.; the new Moxie Shop, a boutique that o ers the trendiest curvy apparel; My Happy Place Gallery of Art; RoofTop Taco & Tequila Bar, a cantina- style eatery with a beautiful Dia de Muertos themed mural on Government Street; Mad Genius, an advertising agency known for its outside-the-box strategies; an expansion at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art; Craft Advisory Brewing and continued growth on Porter Avenue.
“We have seen a bump in the growth of new businesses opening around town,” said Chamber
of Commerce Executive Director Cynthia Dobbs Sutton. “We know that each of them will be a great addition to our city. The arts are always at the forefront, and we are especially enthusiastic about the expansion taking place at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art and the addition of the mural on the RoofTop building. We hope to see other art projects join Downtown in the future.”
Each facet of Downtown Ocean Springs, from the businesses to its grounds and art community,
is equally important in sustaining the city’s strong sense of community. Thanks to the combined e orts of city leaders, the Chamber of Commerce, businesses, residents, and local organizations, Ocean Springs will continue to ourish in 2020.
