You don’t have to be in the French Quarter to enjoy a NOLA icon anymore. Felix’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar now has a location in Gulfport. It has a
great view of the beach from the deck,
a paved courtyard, and a menu that
is going to thrill your Crescent City cravings.
Felix’s is all about the food that made New Orleans one of the most famous food cites in the world. From alligator to fried pies, Felix’s covers all the bases. They call themselves “the first name in oysters,” and it is undeniably an oyster bar, but it’s a lot more than that. Let me explain it to you this way — I didn’t
see anything on the menu that wouldn’t pair nicely with a few drops of Tabasco sauce. Few places can make that claim!

The char-grilled oysters are made with a 75-year-old recipe and are delicious, but if I’m going for a baked oyster, it has to be Rockefeller. This amazing recipe was created in 1889
in New Orleans at the still famous Antoine’s restaurant. I don’t think that any other recipe is as iconic of this great city as Oysters Rockefeller.
The most popular starter is the crab dip, but the choices are all good ones, such as the barbecue shrimp. Make a
