If you find yourself in Bay St Louis and you’re overcome with the desire for Mexican food, La Chula just might hit the spot. It’s been around for
eight years, so it has a proven track record and a loyal following, and it’s conveniently located on Highway 90.
La Chula is a large restaurant with several seating choices — sitting inside, on a screened porch if the weather allows, or if you’re just in the mood
for a great margarita, you can sit at
the comfortable bar. Wherever you sit, you’ll notice snappy service, and once you have decided on what you want
to order, you won’t have to wait long. Mexican music drifts out of the kitchen, and if you get a peek through the service window, you’ll see cooks that know how to get food out in a hurry.
The menu is sizable with seventy-
five selections on the dinner menu, including a small handful of interesting vegetarian choices. If you come for lunch, there are 30 choices, so you can be sure that no matter what you’re craving, you’re sure to find something to fit the bill.
