SEABEES one stop shop &Seabees form partnership for educational opportunities

SEABEES can visit the student services office to get more information on continuing their education. It’s easy and accessible on base and at the Jefferson Davis Campus where there’s a fully staffed Veterans Student Services Office.
Since 1962, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has partnered with the Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport to support the educational goals of the members of the United States Navy. The partnership has grown over the years, and the college’s continuing commitment to providing excellence in education for the men and women of the Navy remains strong.
The base center strives to be a “one-stop shop” for all students, both current and prospective. Students are able to apply for admission, have transcripts evaluated, discuss degree requirements and even pick up textbooks, all without leaving the base. The center offers evening and weekend courses specifically designed to meet the needs of not only active-duty military, but also military dependents and civilian employees.
