FILL A BUCKET

Coast Electric Power Association
As part of Lineman Appreciation Day, Coast Electric Power Association employees held “Fill A Bucket” food drives. Linemen and other employees visited area Walmart locations in Picayune, Waveland and D’Iberville from 9 a.m. to noon on May 9 to collect food items.
Thanks to the volunteers, employees and members,
Coast Electric collected 2,559 pounds of food which were donated to local food pantries. Donations in Picayune were delivered to Manna Ministries, Waveland donations were delivered to Hancock County Food Pantry and D’Iberville donations went to the Salvation Army.
As a not-for-profit cooperative, Coast Electric is driven by a set of principles, one of which is showing concern for the community. These food drives allowed Coast Electric employees to give back and offered members the opportunity to be part of the cooperative’s efforts to improve the quality of life in the communities where we work and live.
Thanks to the generosity of the South Mississippi community, the drives were a huge success and Coast Electric looks forward to continuing the tradition next year.
