young child and throughout my life, I was always intrigued by the profession.
I chose family medicine because of
the variety of illnesses and patients I come in contact with.” Dr. Broussard
is from Louisiana and has practiced medicine for 28 years, with 21 years dedicated to caring for the people of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, and served his internship at Charity Hospital of New Orleans, LA. He obtained his Medical Doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, Shreveport, LA, and completed his Residency at the Charity Hospital of New Orleans, LA. His
memberships include: Mississippi State Medical Association and the American Medical Association. Dr. Broussard
also serves as Medical Review Officer for several major employers in the Gulf Coast area. Dr. Broussard specializes in adult, adolescent, & family medicine with an emphasis in many areas including hypertension, diabetes, physicals,
D.O.T. physicals, drug screenings, hyperlipidemia, COPD, irritable bowel disease, stroke and thyroid disease. Dr. Broussard is also a physician at The Wound Healing Center at Garden Park Medical Center. He and his wife, Adele, have three children and three grandchildren.

Patient’s that understand tend to be more conscientious and compliant which in return, being a Nurse Practitioner can be a very gratifying profession.” Nurse Practitioner Choina–Karamat has 17 years cumulative medical experience;
six years as a Nurse Practitioner and 11 years bed-side critical care nursing. Her hard-work was demonstrated by obtaining four degrees in ten years while working full time and balancing
a family. NP Choina–Karamat enjoys engaging with people of all social, economic, and cultural backgrounds and being a team player. Her professional experience includes participation in
the Gifted Nursing program at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, previous employment at Hospice Compassus and the Armed Services Retirement Homes. Choina – Karamat attended University of Southern Mississippi obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She went on to receive a Masters of Nursing, Adult Acute Care NP from University of South Alabama.
