to do with drawing your blood and using some of the components in your blood to inject into your face to give it a fuller, younger looking appearance,” said McKay. “The blood is drawn and spun down into two components: platelet-rich plasma and the hematocrit. The platelet-rich plasma is then used as an injection which causes an increase in volume of the adipose cells. Along with the PRP, we also use various fillers to achieve a more youthful, natural look.”
Additionally, McKay provides laser liposuction, which uses a low-energy laser to purportedly break up fat cells, but what sets
this treatment apart from others is that it is performed in-office.
“When I first heard of this being done, I was skeptical, but after
seeing it performed myself, I couldn’t help but see how amazing the opportunities for this were,” he said. “Not only is there less pain and bleeding involved for the patient, but it means they won’t have to be put to sleep, making it a safer alternative with fewer drug interactions.”
