The peaceful setting of Owl Lodge invites quiet reflection. Although only a mile from the beach in Waveland, the house is surrounded by dense woods and sits in
a serene glade among majestic Live Oaks dripping with Spanish moss. Resident caretakers Jenny Fulcher and Kelly Collom enjoy this sylvan retreat but point out that it’s also a great party house.
“It’s a crazy, cool house, and the porch can accommodate a lot of people,” Collom said.
It’s a magnificent porch — deep, shady, and running completely around the house. “We don’t have a lot of information about the house, but
we know it was built in the 1950s,” says Fulcher, whose parents own Owl Lodge. “It’s made of half logs, tongue and groove snapped together. The original owner cut the logs and did all the trim by hand.”
