Oren Zweig waited over a decade for someone to open up a bagel shop – in the end, he decided to open his own – Lil Market & Bagelry, the
first bagel shop to open on the Coast since Hurricane Katrina. He spent months perfecting his recipe until he was satisfied with the taste and texture.
He leads the restaurant in conjunction with Colton, Ashley, Vickie, Mandy and his mom Dalia. Lil Market & Bagelry has a quaint, family atmosphere with scratch-made bagels, frozen family meals, chicken salad, tuna salad, pimento cheese, soups, and custom charcuterie boards.
Zweig is proud to have hand-rolled, kettle- boiled bagels. Bagel types include your traditional ones like plain, everything, and sesame, to their specialty bagels, like asiago, jalapeño cheddar, cranberry-pecan, and more! Cream cheese flavors include plain, sun-dried tomato, strawberry, a special seasonal blend, and more.
Here, you can enjoy breakfast all day. You can order a bagel sandwich, a breakfast bowl, or a bagel with some delicious cream cheese. They also serve lunch sandwiches and salads made with Boar’s Head cheeses and meats – yum!
