Mosaic uses high-quality ingredients in their drinks and makes one of the best Old Fashioneds on the Coast.
From the bespoke art that lines the walls to the mid-century modern furniture, every detail is laced with history.
The new menu has been meticulously thought out by Mosaic Chef Tony Quave, who himself is an Ocean Springs gem. Keeping some Mosaic classics intact while expanding upon the menu was important to both Quave and Williams.
“Mosaic has always been known for being a fusion of avors, and that’s a standard that we are proud to keep,” says Williams, a world traveller and global food connoisseur. “There are dishes that I’ve enjoyed from all around the world that Chef Tony is recreating right here in South Mississippi. It’s an amazing thing.”
In addition to the permanent menu items, diners should pay special attention to Mosaic’s daily specials. Their charcuterie board is known as one of the best on the Coast, boasting everything from dry aged meats and cave aged cheeses to artisanal jams and caramelized nuts. And if you ever see the Pork Belly Banh Mi on the menu, order it. This succulent sandwich brought home the 2020 Beer and Bacon Festival trophy, and just one bite will tell you why.
You can’t go wrong with any of the “Mosaic Favorites,” which include traditional Indian Curry Chickpea Samosas, decadent Fettuccini Alfredo, and New Orleans BBQ Shrimp and Grits, which are Williams’ personal favorite.
In addition to a standout menu, Mosaic o ers a full bar stocked with local and high end options that are sure to please. “We believe that high-quality ingredients and time are the key to making the perfect drink,” says Williams. “It
might not be the fastest Old Fashioned you’ve ever had, but it’ll be the best one you’ve ever had.”
For beer enthusiasts, the latest expansion of Mosaic is an exciting one. The Beer House o ers a wide selection of crafted cocktails and wine, 45 beers on tap and 20 curated bottles by their in-house cicerone.
Mosaic and The Beer House are proud to “do it right” when it comes to both product and service. Wine is served on tap, because “that’s the way it’s meant to be enjoyed,” Williams said. “Same with our beers, which are served in the appropriate glasses for the proper drinking experience.”
The sta and ownership of Mosaic take pride in what they do. For them, Mosaic isn’t a restaurant, it’s an experience that they take part in creating every day. “We just want to be a place that Ocean Springs can be proud of,” Williams said of their philosophy. “At the end of the day, that’s what we’re here to do.”
