NATURE-INSPIRED LIVING story and photos by Holly Harrison and Shannon Stage
We’ve heard it a million times: “Home is where the heart is.” Today it rings truer than ever before. But home is more than just a shelter from a storm, it’s where we spend quality time with the people we love. It’s also where we seek comfort, explore our dreams, and make statements about who we are. Spaces that support and enrich our best selves are essential.
One of our favorite ideas for creating a home that inspires you is to embrace spring and bring in some fresh air and fresh ideas. It’s time to think about adding a tree to your living space! Fiddle-Leaf gs, more traditional cus trees, and indoor palms will add a designer touch to your décor. If you are not sure about a living tree, there are great arti cial ones in the market now that will give you the look and height you need. And remember terrariums? They’re back
and they’re easy!
Cut something out of the yard. Blooms add immediate
beauty and can’t help but make you smile. If trees and shrubbery are all you have on hand, cut some small branches or fronds and bring them on in. Select a variety of hues and be creative about the vase – an empty Petrón bottle looks fabulous. You will never throw another one away!
