Coast Episcopal School has announced plans to add a middle school (grades seventh and eighth) for a complete toddler through eighth grade curriculum. The school’s revised mission
was unveiled and read by Coast Episcopal School alumna and two time National Book Award winner, Jesmyn Ward.
The Middle School is now accepting applications for the seventh grade for the 2019-
2020 academic school year. Applications for eighth grade will be accepted in Spring 2020 for the 2020-2021 academic school year.
Episcopal Bishop of Mississippi,
The Rt. Rev. Brian Seage, offered his support and blessing upon the new developments. “Because I am a product of an Episcopal school and a parent of two former Episcopal school students, the education that can happen within this umbrella is amazing and the creativity that takes places within our schools cannot be compared,” he said.
The Coast Episcopal Middle School Exploratory Committee of cially formed in 2014 and was composed of the current and former Heads of School, current and former trustees, parents, and community leaders.
