So Amy set to work selecting paint colors that would bring more light to the space. Many of the colors were customized by her as she made changes to the hues and values of standard Benjamin Moore colors. The overall effect gives a relaxed, coastal feel to the home.
Amy’s artistic flair can be seen throughout the house. From the gorgeous dining room table that she hand painted to the artwork that adorns the walls, it’s clear she has a passion for art. As an aesthetician at Modern Dermatology
& Aesthetics of Gulfport, Amy enjoys relaxing outside of work by painting. Greg, who also works in the
medical field as a nurse practitioner, loves seeing her artwork around their home and enjoys watching her paint.
Many of her pieces can be seen in the open living area, from the dining room to the living room and kitchen. While most of the décor is neutral in tone, the Parkers incorporated pops of aqua blue and metallics, which give the space an upscale coastal vibe. Much of Amy’s artwork emulates that same feel, using similar tones combined with gold foil to create her abstract work.
One of her most unusual works, and her most recent, can be found in the hallway adjacent to the kitchen. To create the swirling effect, Amy loosely mixed several paint colors and then poured them onto a white canvas. The result >>
