Awards ceremony and luncheon in Atlanta, Ga., earlier this year. The Southern Region includes the states of Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
“Bayou Bluff gives back to the community by providing tennis lessons, food and beverage credits, club rentals, tennis camps, and summer camps to most all non-profit organizations in the coastal counties and
all schools,” General Manager Lisa Metz
said. “Those organizations include Junior Auxiliary of Gulfport, Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, American Heart Association, Pink Heart Funds, Humane Society of South Mississippi, St. James Fall Festival, Bayou View Spring Festival, Lynn Meadows Discovery Center Boogie Night, Gulfport High School Sports Booster Club, Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Feed my Sheep, and many others.”
The club was also named Member Organization of the Year for 2016 by the Mississippi Tennis Association. MTA recognized Macky Dominguez as pro of the
year, and two tournaments — Half Shell Oyster House and Racquets and Ritas —
won Tournament of the Year honors. Racquets and Ritas is a charity tournament benefitting Costumes For A Cause held at Bayou Bluff
which donates 100% if tge proceeds to helping local families battling cancer.

It’s been a busy past few months for Bayou Bluff Tennis Club as the club has received numerous state and regional awards, including recognition from the
United States Tennis Association’s Southern Region as Member Organization of the Year. “It is our great pleasure to inform you that Bayou Bluff Tennis Club has been selected as the 2016 recipient of the USTA Southern Member Organization of the Year Award,” said Laura Fanjoy with the USTA Southern Region. “This award recognizes an organization in the Southern Region for outstanding service to the local community, to organization members and to the game of tennis.”
The presentation was made at the USTA’s Southern Annual Meeting during the J. Randolf Gregson
