sheetrock and bare floors. Columns that divided the living room from the kitchen and dining room were taken down to open up that area and make it a little larger. Whitewashed brick was added for texture and a fireplace and custom mantle were installed in the living room. Custom cabinets and marble countertops have been used throughout. The laundry room was completely re-arranged to create a butler’s pantry/laundry room combo. Wood flooring was added everywhere except in the full baths. All bathrooms and showers were completely updated with new tile, free-standing bathtubs, and modern toilets.
“The entire house was painted white, which I absolutely love. Now it’s clean and classy,” Kelly said. “I would say my decorating style is traditionally-inspired modern chic with a touch of glam.”
Actually, Kelly loves everything about her home! “There is plenty of room for entertaining, and I love all of the porches and outside living spaces, especially the screen porch and outdoor fireplace,”
she affirms. “I love the kids having their own space and their own bathrooms. We turned one room upstairs into their own living room and Cole has his music room. It serves us well.”
She adds that the Kellys are definitely entertainers. “Whether it’s a spur-of-the moment get-together or a huge party, we love hosting events. It’s nothing for me to come home to a house full of kids. I love to cook, so everyone expects to eat when they come to our house.”
